Save the Children in Yemen is looking for eligible candidates for the positions of: (1) Logistics Assistant (Based In –Aden) Job Purpose: The Logistics Assistant has the responsibility to assist in with the delivery of timely, effective and accountable logistics support to the Save the Children field team in the country programme. Key AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: • Ensure that Save the Children minimum standards of logistics procedures are adhered to. • Assist in the procurement process with the collection of quotations, the preparation of paperwork and the maintenance of records. • Assist with warehouse management and maintaining stock records • Assist with fleet management in particular in planning and tracking movement, following maintenance schedules and compiling reports • Maintain up-to-date asset registers and ensure all assets are correctly labelled. • Assist with the transportation of supplies • Assist with distribution of food and non-food items QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES: • Experience in supply chain management including procurement, transport and distribution, warehouse and stock management. • Experience in vehicle and fleet management. • Experience in distribution of NFIs (non-food items) and food. • Proficient IT skills. • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
