Action Contre la Faim (ACF), is an International Humanitarian Organization which is private, non-political, non-denomination and non-profit making. Action Contre la Faim vocation is to save lives by combating hunger, disease and those crises threatening the lives of vulnerable men, women and children. ACF currently operates in 46 countries globally and conduct programs in nutrition, food security, health, water and sanitation. IT Technician Location: Sana’a - with regular visit to the field Duration: Six Months renewable Assignment: Insure the most effective use of I-T and telecommunications equipment, while respecting ACF standards and procedures. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Supervise equipment security and the use of the mission's ITC resources 2. Improve the efficiency of ITC resource use 3. Promote user awareness and train users in the use of IT resources 4. Participate in the management of telecommunications resources (radio, phones and other equipment) 5. Equipment management of the mission • More tasks & responsibility will be provided in the JD. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: Degree in IT, Good communication and Organisational skills, Adaptability, Pedagogical approach, Rigour, Good level of spoken and written English, Flexibility and patience; Good knowledge of the Windows operating environment (XP, Windows 7) and Microsoft Office (2003, 2010) Good knowledge of IT equipment and repairing technical IT problems - Good knowledge of networks and wireless technologies.
