Department                :           Development Position                      :           Community Mobilizer     Hours of work           :           40 hours per week Reporting to              :           programme coordinator    Location                     :           Sana’a/Bani Matter district.   Duration                     :           7 Months YEAR (December  2013 to July, 2014)  Background:  The Development Program Division closely works with country program team in identifying, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating development projects and program in collaboration with local, national and international partners.  It focuses on the Recovery and Development of strategic areas and support communities to develop a sustainable livelihood, coherent Islamic micro finance system, food security, water sanitation, social cohesion and community based infrastructure projects to support communities affected by conflict, civil war, natural and man-made disasters. The overall objectives of the development division are to alleviate poverty and suffering of human kinds   by providing them with long term sustainable programme in collaboration with international donors, INGOs and UN agencies. Detailed Duties and Responsibilities   Conduct consultative meetings in the targeted community •    Conduct initial meetings in community about Improving food security through efficient Rained Agriculture and livelihood project •    Ensure better participation in the meeting •    Sensitize community about the project activities Facilitate in Establishing Project Management Committees (PMCs)  •    Identify potential members for PMC in targeted villages •    Form PMCs with village cooperation and female participation. •    Register PMC members in hard and soft sheets •    Arrange & organize consultative meetings with community for the project Ensure documentation of all related activities in soft & hard. •    Keep every activity documented in soft and hard •    Maintain documentation files of the activities with relevant tags   Submit work plans & activity reports •    Ensure timely submission of weekly/monthly work plans •    Develop & submit fortnightly work plans & daily activity report •    Perform assigned related task by the project management •         Any other duties requested by the managements.  Requirements: •    Secondary education/ •    Excellent Arabic and General English knowledge. •    Basic computer knowledge and experience •    Good networking, facilitation and co-ordination skills.
