1. Collect data and identify existing planning processes, and develop future planning processes in line with SATORP’s strategies and industry best practices. 2. Develop Functional and Design Specifications (FDS) for the Refinery Leaner Programming model building, software and hardware configuration. 3. Follow-up on any modifications or changes on the Refinery units to modify and integrate the modelization of process units, including new units, modified or upgraded units. 4. Take complete ownership of the LP Model during Model meetings and participate in the monthly Performance Control meetings. 5. Prepare the technical requirements for Linear Programing Services; and assist in developing RFPs, reviewing bidders’ qualifications and selecting the right Supplier. 6. Support the Supervisor Performance Control on Linear Programing related tendering and contracting activities including, but not limited to, attending pre-tender meetings, answering related questions, evaluating of technical tenders prior to awarding. 7. Submit regular reports on Linear Programing services contracts’ progress and highlight any pending issues or problems that need resolving. 8. Work with the Units Operations teams to obtain and maintain the latest up-to-date technical data and information on process units including product properties, operating conditions and process changes. Maintain and organize up-to-date database of these data and information for easy reference, in coordination with the ICT Department. 9. Work closely with the Performance Control Engineer to ensure the LP Model compatibility, integration and accuracy, and perform LP model reconciliations to identify areas of deficiency in the model. 10. Coordinate and follow-up on units’ material balances, data reconciliations and process simulations to ensure that these tasks are properly performed to support the overall goal of improving the accuracy of the LP model. 11. Provide technical assistance to other Technical and Optimization Personnel in performing linear Programing runs, LP runs, LP budget runs and Retro simulation runs, to determine optimal operations of the Refinery and develop an updated model for the budget exercise. 12. Provide technical support and guidance to the Planners, both short and long term, and assist them in using the LP model, as needed. 13. Liaise with units business teams to ensure that the LP model is error-free and in conformity with SATORP standards and business requirements. 14. Participate in assessing forecast results accuracy through the comparison between price forecasts and actual prices on a monthly basis, and reporting outcomes during the monthly meeting. 15. Perform basic training on Linear Programing PIMS. 16. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor Performance Control. • Strong knowledge of Linear Programing and Model Construction Methods. • Strong technical knowledge of Refining production operations and processes. • Good knowledge of Refining economics. • Ability to develop accurate operational and economical analyses. • Good knowledge of Refining research, production planning, trading and scheduling activities. • Good knowledge of Refinery Performance Control or Oil Accounting. • Ability to work in a dynamic environment. • Good contract management skills. • Good interpersonal communication skills. • Capable of giving strong attention to details. • Strong analytical ability. • Good problem solving skills. • Strong command of oral and written English. SAUDI ARAMCO TOTAL Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP) is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and TOTAL S.A. that was formed to develop the 400,000 barrels per day Refinery and Petrochemical Project located in Jubail in the eastern province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In capacity, it is second only to Ras Tanura Refinery in the Kingdom. The environmentally friendly Jubail Refinery will produce a high proportion of white products such as diesel, gasoline, LPG, petrochemicals, and jet fuels from low cost heavy crude. Upon completion, the refinery will the the 7th most complex refiner in the world. In May 2006, Saudi Arabian Oil Company and TOTAL S.A. signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop the Jubail Refinery and Petrochemical Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Project entails the development of 400,000 barrels per day (bpd) refining and petrochemical complex (the “Refinery”) located in the Jubail Industrial City on the east coast of the Kingdom. On June 22, 2008, Saudi Aramco and TOTAL signed the Shareholders Agreement in order to form SAUDI ARAMCO TOTAL Refinery and Petrochemical Company (SATORP). SATORP was established as per the Board of Directors approval on September 21, 2008. Saudi Aramco and TOTAL agreed to subscribe equity interest of 62.5% (Saudi Aramco) and 37.5% (TOTAL) in the Company. By February 2009 the main Project Agreements were executed. On June 16, 2009, the Board of Directors approved the award of all LSTK contracts which were officially executed on July 7th. Immediately following, the Project Management Team, based in Rome Italy at the time, mobilized their out of kingdom teams to Korea, Japan, Spain, and Singapore. By the beginning of the 3rd quarter 2010, these teams began remobilization to Saudi Arabia, to join the in-kingdom project teams already hard at work in building the refinery’s foundation and infrastructures. Some refinery units are scheduled to begin commissioning by the first quarter of 2012, and continue on to the targeted refinery completion date in the first half of 2013.
