• Develops, writes and coordinates training manuals working with Specialists for specific details. The training manuals should include: course content, visual charts, videotapes, slides, etc. • Types initial and/or final drafts of manuals • Prepares training videotapes and/or films; maintains library of video and film training aids. Schedules training sessions within individual training programs ensuring facility setup, audiovisual setup and employee notification • Handle introductions of topic specialists at the start of training sessions and provides courses in such a way to stimulate and motivate attendees • Develops a means of measuring the effectiveness of divisional training programs through testing, etc. • Handle the effectiveness of programs developed and/or administered • Develop higher skills from within the existing workforce • Confer with management; supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies • Coordinate training schedule with the hiring and training demands of the Distribution Center • Formulate teaching outline and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops • Select or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works • Conduct training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, etc. • Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training • Report on progress of employees under guidance during training periods • Monitor methods used by employees for shipping and inbound duties and make on the spot corrections • Assist employees with problems concerning "how to" perform specific tasks related to their Distribution position • Make suggestions on improving work procedures in the Distribution Center • Maintain trainee personnel records • Develop strong relationship with all Distribution Center departments to develop course materials and receive feedback • Supervise Distribution Center employees in a training environment • Responsible for the overall directions, coordination, and evaluation of this hotel’s training programs • Oversee company representatives, acting in the role of "training instructor" for a specific training issue or initiative • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the training department procedures • Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence • Ability to develop and proof training materials • Ability to speak effectively in interpersonal situations and before groups of employees • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form • Ability to functions independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team • Ability to follow the appropriate safety precautions • Comfortable communication with all levels of management and employees • Strong planning and organizational skills • Proven presentation and facilitation skills • Written and verbal communication skills • Ability to communicate in English with internal and external customers to their understanding • Able to develop rapport with hourly Ladies and Gentlemen and Management staff • Ability to gain support from leadership • Organization and effective time management skills are needed • Ability to prioritize work assignments • Must be confidential in Human Resources matters • Computer literate • Meet or exceed Quality Selection qualifications • Understands TQM Management and application • Understanding and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment • Minimum two (2) years' prior training, teaching, or related Human Resources experience • Creative ability, writing proficiency, visual graphics design ability • Good organizer, meticulous, and good public speaker at ease moderating large groups Desirable: • Education – 4 year degree desired • Excellent follow-up and documentation skills • Hotel operational experience • Service industry experience preferably in a four or five star hotel Matchtech is a leading global engineering recruitment specialist, with over 30 years’ experience in successfully matching job-seekers with hiring employers within the engineering industry.
