About the Company: Our client is a real estate company and it was established in 2005 in Qatar. This company was created to bring Qatar’s vision for developing Qatar’s extensive national railway network, and the region’s first fully integrated railway system, to life. Duties & Responsibilities: • Endorsement and review of project budget(s) and has ultimate responsibility for the quality of project delivery and adherence to deadlines by partner companies. • Inspects and reviews current projects to monitor with construction and safety codes, and other regulations in coordination with the Quality, Safety and Environmental Department. • Provides day-to-day direction and works with Lusail staff to ensure a high performance, customer service-oriented work environment that supports achieving the Department's and Lusail’s mission, strategic plan, objectives and values. • Assists Contract Department in development and implementation of the contracting strategy for selection of appropriate companies to ensure adherence to procedure and governance. Supervises the project team to ensure completeness of technical brief for the tender and optimal technical and financial evaluation. • Monitors and controls all contractual commitments with the consultant/ Contractors to ensure that work is being performed in accordance with the specifications, drawings and terms of the contract and that change orders and claims are processed in a timely manner. • Reviews logs and records of work performed on the respective project. Manages preparation of periodic and special reports as required for. Reviews accuracy of reports of contract work and other assigned activities, review progress, performance and completion of reports, purchase requests, requisitions, and reports of claims. Qualifications & Experience: • A Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering, construction management or a related engineering degree. • Minimum 12 years of work experience in the engineering and construction field, out of which at 6 are in a project management capacity. • Preferably member of a Professional Engineering Body, for example, Chartered engineer, professional engineer etc. • Preferably member of a recognized project management body, for example, PMP, PMI or equivalent experience. • Knowledge of principles of capital improvement cost estimation and contract administration.
