We are in urgent need for a Construction / Production manager with extensive experience in Shipyard Repair and construction operations. Manage the construction and production in the Shipyard including a wide range of cost effective regular ship repair services such as dry-docking, afloat maintenance and repairs, steel fabrications, mechanical repairs, machining and electrical works. And to manage proactively projects undertaken by the shipyard including project risks, & resources. To be responsible for the success of the assigned Shipyard projects/contracts with respect of time, scope and budget. Degree in Marine Engineering or mechanical related courses. At least 15- 20 years in Shipyard or Ship repair environment At least 5 years recent management experience in similar position with a regional leading ship repair company Strong Project management practices and techniques Strong knowledge of general repair, outfitting and fabrication operations and services Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering, hull coatings and steel repairs Strong knowledge of related health, safety, security and environmental regulations Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems, such as ISO 9001 Norconsulting is a specialised recruitment firm helping companies place highly qualified staff in both permanent and contract positions with clients worldwide, recruiting both locally and internationally in the following areas: Engineering, Oil & Gas, IT and Telecoms.
